Shock and sadness on learning of the untimely death of Seumas.  Condolences to family and friends.  Seumas was a friend of our daughter, Erin. His spontaneity and intellectual abilities were only a few of his contributions to humanity. Musically gifted, embracing nature and accepting people for who they were with love and kindness impacted so many.  He put his trust into life  and let it carry him on.   Always to be remembered with love.

Kindhearted, gentle, never criticizing anyone and always having an interesting point to share while lightening the mood wherever he was.  Seumas showed me a kinder way, through his diligence in his gentleness, no matter what was going on his life. I relished seeing him, as his colorful attire, modern thinking and old fashioned ways reminded me we could all be our true authentic selves...and he lived this beautiful truth. He will be missed greatly.

Seumas was a valued member of the Malaspina Trombone Ensemble (VIU)for a short while. He had obviously had good training and had good classical technique.

We are sorry to hear of his passing.

It is with heartfelt thankfulness for a life well lived that we celebrate my son- Seumas Riley Doherty. He embraced all that the outdoors could offer in the stunning beauty of B.C.  We will miss his love for nature, music and family. God has granted Seumas peace and joy in His forever home. 

I am so sad to hear of Seumas’ passing. People like Seumas are infectious with their positivity and friendliness. I was always too happy to give them a ride and I was so sad they weren’t able to stay safe on Gabriola. I will be thinking of them often.
