DA SILVA, CARLOS – Peacefully at Michael Garron Hospital, Toronto, ON, on Thursday June 29th 2017 at age 51, after a long argument with PCNS Lymphoma. True to his nature, he contested the decision and will be seeking an appeal.
He was generous, stubborn and good-humoured. He was an excellent dancer, specializing in the cabbage-patch style. His many hobbies included: feeding his fat dog human food, power-drinking coffee, singing Red Hot Chili Peppers at the top of his lungs, single-handedly carrying the tobacco industry through multiple recessions, collecting odd nails and screws in odd jars and tins because 'You never know', and telling people not to mess his hair. He found his calling when he started his business, 'Da Silva Haulage' and stopped working for the man.
He leaves behind his wonderful mom, Ramira, his late father Davino, his 6 siblings, Duie (Anne), Maria (Sam), Vicky (Robin), David (Simone), Isabel (George) and Anna as well as his girlfriend, Christine, many friends and a huge family who loved him. In addition, he leaves two children, Alexandra (Justin) and Daniel but as he liked to point out, it has yet to be proven in court.
If anyone is in need of 4000 assorted screws and nails, please contact.
Resting at Courtice Funeral Chapel, 1587 Highway 2, Courtice, ON (905-432-8484), with visiting from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday July 8, 2017. Online condolences may be placed at www.courticefuneralchapel.com
