My wife Barb and I lived next door to Don and Ellen (or Helen as we knew her) for over 20 years. Don had a lot of health problems over the years but he seemed to take it all in stride and it was seldom that we ever heard him complain. Don was a great neighbour to us and a very kind and gentle man. When he spoke, my wife said she could get lost in his voice as he still had that Irish lilt.  Rest in peace our good friend as you were one of the good ones and we will miss you.

I was blessed to have known Mr. Don Delaney when I was a young child growing up across the street from his beautiful family on Boem Avenue.  He was always very kind, considerate and fun loving. 
When I was a young teenager, Mr. Delaney allowed myself, Theresa and Donna to sit in his car for hours listening to eight track tapes of the Beatles and Beach Boys. Seems we shared common musical interests. I will treasure this special memory along with many others.
