John and I were very saddened to hear of Eleanor's passing
I have such fond memories of our time together at CSS; jokes and laughs at the lunch table, great social times together. Although it seams a long time ago that we were teaching together CSS will always hold a very special place in my heart.
Our thoughts are with you and your family at this very sad time.

Dear Michael and family:  I am so sorry to hear about Eleanor and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  I was fortunate to be a regular fixture in the Ponting home growing up (as Trisha's "shadow") and remember Eleanor's humour and laugh.  She was a kind, caring older sister and someone you could look to for guidance and support.  Eleanor had a positive impact on so many lives and I hope your memories will provide some comfort at this difficult time.

Sincerest sympathy, Michael. I will always cherish my memories of Eleanor as the consummate teacher, a terrific colleague and a genuine lady. We can only imagine the sense of loss that you and your family are feeling. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

My dearest sympathies to you and your family, I have not seen her since I graduated from C.S.S in 1981.  She was my typing teacher and Mr. Roche was my math teacher.  I remember when we had an assembly at school and they played " Having my Baby" for her pregnancy.  It has stuck in my head all these years because they wer so happy to be having a child. Dear Mike,  so sorry to hear of dear Eleanor's passing.  We sure had lots of fun at CSS together.  I remember when we shared a table at the Columbus yard sale, & ended up buying a bunch of stuff from each other .  There went our profits!  I miss CSS but have great memories of you & Eleanor.

I will always remember how whenever I came over to the house she always had something wonderful baking in the oven.  She always made me feel welcome.  I spent so much time at your place when we were young that I thought of her as another mother.

Even though you know thus time is coming you can never prepare for it. She was an amazing daughter, wife, mother, sister-in-law and aunt. She always put everyone else first.  She was the best sister and best big sister anyone could ask for. She stepped up to the plate as a surrogate grandma to my boys when mom could no longer fill that role. They still talk about the bike rides and strawberry picking and the fries down at the park. I miss her terribly but know she us always with me in spirit and will always "be in charge" because that is what big sister do.

Words cannot express how sad we are at Eleanor's passing. We have spent so many fun times together, especially the last 6 years, while vacationing together in Myrtle Beach.She will be sorely missed.
