with her beloved family at her side on August 3, 2014 at the age of 62. Cherished mother of Joshua

(LeeAnn) Hoskin and loving Grandma of Evan and Jacob. Joanne was predeceased by her parents

Howard and Jean Hoskin, sisters Anna-Marie Greentree and Shirley Mason, brothers Gordon and Gary

Hoskin, sister-in-law Joan Hoskin (Metcalfe) and brother-in-law Douglas Greentree. She was one of ten

children and will be lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters: Kenneth (Mary) Hoskin, Betty

(Charlie Durno) Greentree, Jack (Carol) Hoskin, Donna (Bryan) Smith, Joe (Lois) Hoskin, sister-in-law

Linda Hoskin and brother-in-law Neil Greentree. She will also be missed by her Uncle Doug (Marilyn)

Love and Aunt Muriel Hoskin and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joanne was a devoted daughter, mother and grandmother. She had a great sense of humour and enjoyed her family and many friends. Joanne devoted many years to taking care of her mother. Joanne developed a love of gardening over the years, and created many beautiful flower gardens. Her gardens earned her a Communities in Bloom Award.

Special thanks to Joanne’s many friends who came to offer her their love and support and to the caring

staff at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa, Palliative Care/Supportive Care Ward (4F).

Visitation will be held at The Courtice Funeral Chapel (1587 Highway #2, Courtice, Ontario L1E 2R7 905-432-8484) on Saturday August 9 from 1:00 – 2:00p.m. followed by the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to New Covenant Church or a charity of your choice.
