Well Momma its been 6 months and I miss you more and more each day..Life doesn't seem the same without you.Christmas is coming and I wish so much you could be here with us where you belong.I hope you will be watching over us.Till we meet again..Love you to the moon and back

I miss you more than words can say..today will be 5 months without you..I know you wouldn't want us to be upset or cry over you but seems that's what I've been doing lately not going to lie.We got some exciting news..Sarah is having a baby girl! Well its my birthday today, and I feel like a big part of me is missing.The only thing that gets me through the day is knowing your not in pain anymore.Love you too the moon and back Momma.  XOX

Well Mama it's been 2months already.  I think about you everyday.I have even picked up the phone many times to call you.You would be so proud of the kids and their accomplishments. I'm so very sorry for you loss. I'll always remember "Mrs. Gibbs" as a remarkable, strong and loving woman. My thoughts & heartfelt prayers are with you during this difficult time.

It's the little things that seem to stand out the most- her laugh, the taste of her strawberry jam on fresh toast, walking into the smell of a roast beef cooking for Sunday dinner, the smell of her dove soap when she would hug you. There are so many things that I can see and feel as if they had just happened.

I'm sure everyone has memories, much like mine. They are good memories, something we'll always have to cherish. It isn't often in our lives that we come across someone so special that that person stays with you forever. My Nan was that kind of person.

The only way to get hurt in this life is to care. Nan cared more than most, loved more than most and was made to suffer more than most because of just how much she cared.

But no matter how many times she was knocked down or made to endure things no one should, she kept coming back; caring more and loving more- opening herself up to even more pain. Yet there were never any complaints or bitterness- it was the only way she knew how to live.

The kind of love Nan felt for us was a love without condition. She may not have had approved of everything we did, may not have liked some of the decisions we made, but she didn't lecture, she didn't judge. She just kept loving us, letting us know she was there, and if we ever needed her, we could count on her to listen, to comfort, and to help.

She lived a simple life. It didn't take much to make her happy- a phone call, a quick visit, a dinner with her family. We were the most important people in the world to her. She lived to make our lives better and was so proud of each and every one us. Many would agree Nan was the proudest woman in the world.

To think someone like her felt that way about us should make us all feel more than just little good. We can never forget that there is a part of her in each of us, something that she gave us and asked nothing for in return.
Money can be squandered and property ruined, but what we inherited from her cannot be damaged, destroyed or lost. It is permanent, and it keeps her from becoming just a wonderful memory. It allows her in so many ways to remain just as alive as always- alive through us.

There have and will be times in our lives when situations arise where we will long to talk to her, to be with her, or ask her what we should do. I hope, and know that when those times come, we can begin to look to each other and find that part of her that she gave to each of us. We will learn to lean on each other and rely on each other the way we always knew we could with her. Maybe then she won't seem quite so far away.

So Nan, for your wisdom, your humour, your tenderness, your selflessness, your strength, and most importantly your love- thank you. If love and strength could have kept her here, Nan would have lived forever. After you, the mold was indeed broken. Thank you so much, I love you- always have, always will. I'll see you in the movies my beautiful angel.

I can no longer see you - but I can feel you.  My warrior, my girl, my Nanny Darlin, one of my best friends and favourite people in the world. You got your wings on June 3, 2017 and you sure earned them. You are now our Guardian Angel. I will never forget the touch of your hand. You will forever be holding my hand through all of the brighter days ahead. It's been a long battle and my warrior you are now at rest. You will never feel pain again. You will feel love and joy watching over your family, the ones you fought so hard for - the ones you loved and cared for with your whole entire heart and soul . We are so proud of you. I will miss and think of you every single day. I am grateful for the time we had together and the memories we made. You were one amazing woman who has had such a beautiful impact on our lives. I am a fortunate person.  My Aunt Myrna has been a part of my life from the day I was born.  She is my "double aunt" because she is my Mom's sister and is married to my Dad's brother.  Because of this, I like to think I got "double" her love.

As a child I spent countless hours with her and my Uncle Baldy.  I would take the bus and subway across the city, they would meet me at the bus stop, and I would spend my weekend with them.  She always made me a grilled cheese sandwich in her toaster oven as soon as I got there.  She nourished me not only with food (oh, such good food!) but with love, support and guidance throughout my life.  As I grew older, she was only a phone call away.

My Aunt Myrna showed me the importance of being a devoted daughter to my parents, a friend and partner to my husband, a reliable and trusted sister to my brother, a loving and caring mother to my children and oh, such a fantastic Nan to her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchild.  I aspire to be a Nan like her.

Aunt Myrna you set the bar high and I will continue to strive to follow your examples as I travel along this journey called life.  Thank you for your abundance of love.  I will never forget you.

So sorry for your loss. Myrna was a special lady who made such a difference in the lives of many students and staff at Osler who had the privilege of knowing her. Always kind hearted in actions and words. Always a smile to warm your soul. So fondly remembered.
