Jeanne Elizabeth Bishop

September 3, 1921-September 16, 2012

Jeanne was married to the love of her life, Robert Bishop for 39 years

before his passing. Jeanne leaves behind a large legacy of 5

children:Harry Bishop(Ruth),Bob Bishop(Pam),Jeannie West(Bill),

Marlaine Petersen(Mike),Charm Doyle(Patrick),15 grand

children;Jeanine,Tammy, Lisa,Julie,Pamela,Bobby,Kelly,Kristi,

Korey,Kevin,Kyle,Kadyn,Sam,Cody and Faith, 25 great-grand

children,and 6 great-great grand children.She also leaves behind her

brothers,George Forteville(Betty) and Albert Forteville(Dottie). Her

family was her true passion in life and each and every one of the family members felt her

caring and love.She was the inspiration and positive spirit of the

family and always told her kids,"There is no such thing as can't! And

you can do it!" Her other great love was sports. She was an amazing

athlete throwing the javelin and discus, playing professional softball

and semi-pro tackle football. She was a softball coach to many girls

who will always remember her as" the best coach they ever had". She

loved watching her kids, grand kids and the greats play their sports

and never missed a game or a performance! She was the official

scorekeeper at many baseball games. She will be forever remembered by everyone who had the

fortune of knowing her. Her strength will be greatly missed.

Funeral Arrangements handled by Custer Christiansen Mortuary Covina.

Services will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Covina on Friday, September 21,

2012 at 8:30am in Memory Chapel.
