Ferdinand Frank Quintana Jr.

31 juillet 1925 – 18 mars 2026
Avis de décès de Ferdinand Frank Quintana Jr.
AUX SOINS DE

Grace Funeral Home & St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden

Ferdinand Frank Quintana, Jr., age 100, of Mandeville, LA passed away peacefully at his home on March 18, 2026. He was born on July 31, 1925, in New Orleans, LA to Ferdinand Frank Quintana, Sr. and Louise Kinler Quintana.

Ferdinand, known to many as “Mickey,” lived a long and remarkable life rooted in hard work, service, and family. As a young man, he served in the Merchant Marines during World War II, traveling extensively while supporting the war effort. After returning home, he settled in Mandeville, where he used his skills in carpentry and construction to build a life for his family.

He married the love of his life, Rita LaGrange Quintana, in 1948, and together they shared many years of marriage and raised a strong, close-knit family. Ferdinand was deeply involved in his community, serving over 20 years as a volunteer fireman and later as Fire Commissioner. He was also a dedicated member of the Mandeville Lions Club for 55 years, holding numerous leadership roles.

Even into his later years, he remained active and independent, always working, building, and taking pride in providing for himself and his family.

Ferdinand is survived by his children: Ferdinand “Butch” Quintana, III, David Quintana (Debbie), Wayne Quintana (Cheryle), Deborah Quintana Bettencourtt, and Douglas Quintana; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rita LaGrange Quintana; his brother, Owen Quintana; and his sisters, Marilyn Rolfes, Thelma Dean, Norma Gauthreaux, and Sister Mary Owen Quintana and his granddaughter, Dynal Quintana Roberson.

Ferdinand will be laid to rest in Mandeville Cemetery next to his wife Rita at a later date.
