

Frederick A. Soule, Jr., age 85, cherished husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, and friend entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Fred was a New Orleans native and resident of Covington, LA. He was born on January 27, 1939, to Frederick A. Soule, Sr. and Elois Frank Soule.
He was a graduate of Warren Easton High School; and, after attending Louisiana State University, joined the New Orleans Police Department. He retired after 20+ years of service and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He also served as a lead court security officer for the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana for 12 years. Known for his dry wit and teasing ways, he was both a devoted Saints and LSU football fan.
Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Patricia N. Soule, “Pat”; his children Patricia M. Soule (Kenneth Brown), Frederick A. Soule, III (Barry Connor), and Nancy S. Hambacher (Chad Hambacher); grandchildren Peyton, Trevor and Kassi Brown, Garrett and Brynn Hambacher. He is also survived by his sibling, Ann S. Green (Harry Green) and his beloved cat, Roux. Fred was preceded in death by his parents and sibling Elois Soule, “Loisy”.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Mass at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow in St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden Cemetery.
