Mary Louise Costa (née Arendt), 81, entered into eternal rest on August 27, 2024, in Covington, Louisiana. Born on August 15, 1943, in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was known for her passion as an artist, her deep love for animals, her enjoyment of the autumn season and decorating for all holidays.
Mary's presence was a source of joy and inspiration to those around her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald Costa, Sr.; her son, Ronald Costa, Jr. and his wife Pamela; her daughter, Rebecca Geheren; and her cherished grandchildren, Brittni Ray, Emma Geheren, Reid Geheren, and Bronson Costa. She also leaves behind her siblings, Betty Ostarly, Lynn Arnone, and William Arendt, III. Mary was greeted in heaven by her father, William Arendt, Jr., and her mother, Mary Lena Treuil Arendt.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, located at 1501 W Causeway Boulevard, Mandeville, Louisiana, on September 5, 2024 at 12:00 pm. Visitation at the church will begin at 10:00 am, allowing family and friends to gather and share their memories of a remarkable woman who touched many lives with her kindness and grace.
