I miss you every day, and have for the last year.
I met you seven years ago, playing Hand and Foot, a card game, at the community center. We became close very quickly.
We went shopping together, went out to lunch often and to the movies. When we went grocery shopping, we walked up and down every aisle, to get our exercise.
We both agreed to anything the other suggested and we always had a blast.
You and I both had physical issues but we didn’t let that stop us.
You cooked and cleaned for yourself; you didn’t want any help.
You managed your bills and taxes well.
I got you started going to and balance class where I was a volunteer.
You made friends easily and would make everyone laugh with stories of your life. You are greatly missed at the balance classes.
I called you every day, sometimes every other day, when you moved.
I wanted to stay close to you for as long as I could.
Jo, I will continue to miss you for a long time. I love you dearly.

In lieu of flowers 'Jo' wanted people to make donations to St. Jude Hospital, the ASPCA, or National Wildlife Federation.

Mother passed quietly in her sleep at home which is what she wanted. Her last words to me were I'm ok. She is singing harmony with the angels.
