She was sister to the late Vincenzo DiCarlo, Rosalia DiCarlo Orfanello, Anna DiCarlo Piediscalzo, Marie DiCarlo Meyers, Angelina DiCarlo Grob and Salvadore DiCarlo. She was the last surviving sibling.
Seraphine spent her life in the greater New Orleans area. Her hobbies were centered around her family, whether she was cooking, baking, or gardening. She especially enjoyed preparing holiday and St Joseph Day treats and babysitting grandchildren. Her family was always her most important priority and her life’s legacy.
Seraphine is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Michael “Mike” John Cannizaro, Sr. and her beloved son, Philip Gary Nasca.
Seraphine is survived by her sons, John Michael Cannizaro and Michael John Cannizaro, Jr., and her daughters-in-law, Ann Cannizaro and Sue Nasca. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Amy Cannizaro Burris, and her husband, Brandon, and Stacey Cannizaro Don-Jordon, and her husband, Edward, and her four beloved and cherished great-grandchildren, Brandon Jr., Johnny Joe, Henry and Sophia. Seraphine is also survived by her sister-in-law, Grace Kelty DiCarlo, brother-in-law, Earl (EJ) Grob, Jr., and her Goddaughter, Frances Ann Piediscalzo Varisco. Special gratitude is given to her niece, Josephine DiCarlo Schell, and her nephew, Kevin Grob, Sr., for their care and support over the years. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Seraphine is now united in Heaven with her husband, her son, her parents, her siblings and a host of other family members and friends she has known over her lifetime. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will continue her legacy here on earth.
