Thomas moved to the Airline Park area in Metairie with his family when he was a toddler. He attended high school at Archbishop Rummel then enlisted and served in the Air Force where he learned his trade in computers and electronics. He was a “Mr. Fix It” kind of guy and had all the tools to fix anything, always tinkering with things, taking them apart then reassembling them. He had to see how everything worked. He was a square dancer when he met his bride, Karen Cassisi Couvillion and they started their family. Thomas and Karen moved to the Mandeville/Covington area in 1982, where he remained until his passing. He worked many years at the Times Picayune until he retired. He would do anything for friends, who he considered family.
Thomas is survived by his beloved daughter Stacy Couvillion Royer and his world, granddaughter Adissen Laine-Karen Royer. He is also survived by his brother Lewis Couvillion, Sr. (Carol), nephews Lewis Couvillion, Jr. (Vicki), Clinton Couvillion, and Charles Cassisi, niece Cathryn Couvillion, great nieces Eve & Taylor Couvillion, along with his brother-in-law Scott Cassisi (Debbie) and mother-in-law Merle Bobo Cassisi Lyons. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael W. Couvillion, his wife Karen, and his son-in-law Louis J. Royer.
