Varney Ambrose Prejean, Jr., age 75, of Mandeville, LA passed away on Tuesday August 6, 2024. He was born on August 9, 1948 in Donaldsonville, La to Varney Ambrose Prejean, Sr. and Adele Mary LeBlanc Prejean.
Varney graduated from Archbishop Shaw High School as part of its first graduating class and furthered his education at Loyola University College of Business, where he was a member of the Men of Beggars Fraternity. He dedicated over thirty years to the corrugated box industry as an account representative, earning numerous accolades for his work. Following his retirement, Varney shared his passion for fitness as a spin instructor.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Patricia Manning Prejean, and his sisters, Anne Prejean Brand and Ellen Prejean Carroll. Varney was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 W Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA 70471, on Monday, August 12, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass at 12:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Cuong Tran. A private burial will take place at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
