Our beautiful and beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Lexi Lighthizer-Brown left this world unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, as a result of an automobile accident in Rural Routt County. She was 14 years young.
A celebration of Lexi’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 5, 2023, at the new Hayden High School gymnasium. A private family graveside will follow at Hayden Cemetery.
Alexis Rae Lighthizer-Brown was born on May 20, 2008 to Andrea Lighthizer and Dillon Brown in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. She spent her entire life and attended schools in Hayden. Lexi had a love for sports, especially volleyball , basketball and track. She also enjoyed paddle boarding, skate boarding, playing marbles, and listening to music. When Lexi wasn’t at school, or participating in sports, you would find her spoiling her dogs and cats, hanging out with her brother, spending time on the family ranch loving the cows. Lexi loved prepping food at the family restaurant and making sure people were happy and enjoying their food. Above all, Lexi loved and cherished her family and friends.
We will always remember Lexi’s infectious smile and her loving and caring personality. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed. We would like to thank our community for the outpouring of love, prayers, and generosity extended to our family during this difficult time. When you think of Lexi, celebrate the wonderful memories you have of her.
