There is so much that could be said about Chris. 
Hiring Chris was the best decision I made while working for CDOT. He was a true asset and was instrumental in making CDOT Region 3 IT, the best in the state. He made me look good. Chris and I worked together for over 22 years, and in all that time, Chris never let me down. The IT landscape changed dramatically during that time. Chris installed modems, switches, routers, servers, running cables, and setting up workstations to finding ISP’s to connect some of the remotest parts of Colorado to the Internet for CDOT. If it was connectable, Chris would figure out how to do it. Chris was a Jack of all trades, which in our world, included electrical, mechanical heating and air conditioning, and in his life before IT, a Truck Mechanic. Chris was very private, and I felt honored when Chris needed it, to be a confidante for him. Chris had a great smile and a very respectful demeanor. I know he loved his family very much. Chris was broken when Colleen passed not long ago, they were very close and it goes without saying, how much he loved her. He was very proud of his son Alex, spoke of him and his grandson James often. 
I’ve missed you since you retired, and now I will miss you for the rest of my lifetime.

My heart is heavy and I am deeply sorry to all of Chris' family and friends for this loss.  Chris was one of the first friends I made at CDOT as we both shared an interest in IT and computers.  Chris was always a kind and gentle soul and I will miss him.  May he find peace back with Colleen.

Hello my name is Chuck and I worked with Chris for 5 years with CDOT.  Although I spoke with him almost on a daily basis I only met him once when we were in Denver for training.  One night Chris and I walked from our motel with two other employees to a local restaurant for dinner.  Chris was one of the nicest guys I have ever met and it was a fun night joking about our jobs and life in Colorado.

I'm glad I got to know him and I am so sorry for your loss. 

I am so sorry to hear of Chris passing. I worked with Chris at CDOT for many years. Went on many road trips with Chris and Colleen on our motorcycles. And drank many beers.  And now Chris and Colleen are together again, can go for another and for another long ride on a bike again. May the two of them Rest In Peace.

It is with a  heavy heart that we say goodbye to our dearest friend  Chris. He has been a part of our lives every day and cannot imagine what our lives are going to be without Chris.His sweet soul, little smile and his light laughter that were forever with him.  The love he had for his family and forever positive attitude of life,family and friends. Fly high with the Angels We love you Chris and you will be forever missed
