

On July 18, 2024, the world lost a remarkable woman, Danuta “Donna” Baron, who passed away peacefully in her sleep at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. Donna was born on August 16, 1957, in Gizycko, Poland, to Irena and Edward Puczel. She lived her life with an extraordinary blend of compassion and unwavering dedication.
Dana’s journey led her to Golden, Colorado, where she met and married Frank Baron, her devoted partner of 43 years. As a mother and housekeeper, Donna’s world revolved around her family that they relocated to Craig in the mid 90’s. She is survived by her three children; Konrad, Monika, and Jacob, as well as her
grandchildren, Andres and Mia, who inherited her radiant spirit and zest for life.
Throughout her life, Donna exemplified the power of love and resilience. She was passionate about cooking, relished in the intrigue of sewing her own clothes, was enchanted by mushroom hunting, and found joy in the companionship of her dogs. Donna’s love and integrity shone through her advice, inspiring those around her to live their best lives.
In addition to her immediate family, Donna will be deeply missed by her siblings, Jurek and Agnieszka, as well as extended family and friends. Her ability to bring people together and her readiness to help anyone in need made her a beacon of hope and encouragement.
A celebration of Donna’s life will take place on August 3, 2024, with visitation at 10:00 am at Grant Mortuary in Craig, Colorado, followed by services at 11:00 am. A lunch reception will be held at Vallartas at 1:00 pm, where memories of Donna’s life and legacy will be shared.
Donna’s spirit, characterized by her profound love for her family and her inspiring strength, will continue to guide and uplift everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy will endure in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness and unwavering support.
