It’s never easy with a passing of a loved one.     Jim was a great guy , loving father, and devoted husband.   I believe there wasn’t a sport he didn’t like.  I remember keeping score for his team during town team basketball and seeing him at several sporting events .  We shared the joy of sports, and competing.   Jim will truly be missed. 

I remember my cousin when we were younger. I remember coming to Craig to visit my great grandparents. Then we would make are way around to visit are other  Auntys and Uncle. Are parents would visit together and we go outside and play. Then we would go back home. Those are the memories I remember because I don't know my cousin as adults.

Kathy, I’m so sorry for your loss. I have no words to erase the grief. Sending prayers and loving thoughts for you and all the family. May happy memories and companionship of friends and family help you navigate the grief and know moments of joys again. 

Dear Duran Family,
You are such a strong family.  We were amazed to see Ryan coaching and  the family cheering on Jimmy’s grandson at a baseball game after he passed.  That’s exactly what Jimmy would have wanted you to do. I have fond memories of running into Jimmy while hiking the rim of the Sandrocks.  He even hiked while going through his treatments.  Amazing strength and determination!  Preston has fond memories of playing city league basketball games with him as well as golf tournaments.  Preston said he had the best shot off the glass of anyone he ever knew.  You could tell his family was a huge priority to him.  Behind every great man is a great woman.  Kathy, you have always been such a kind, gracious, giving partner for Jim as well as your family and this community. We will continue to pray for the whole family as you walk this difficult path.   We will miss that smile, laugh, giving heart and sense of humor he had.  May God be with you all in the days ahead. 


Simply adored by so very many.  Sense of humor that didn't stop, if he gave you a hard time you know you were liked. It breaks my heart that a good soul has been taken home but I am certain he was a man of Faith and is in good hands.  To the family I am sorry for your loss I hope you keep those memories close to your heart.

I am so sorry for your loss.   Jim was an amazing man and a great family man, and I am sure he has passed along some wisdom and had some amazing memories.  This is quite a shock for me, and I regret that it is that way.  RIP Jim!
