Joshua Benjamin Flaharty

Joshua Benjamin Flaharty was born Monday, August 10, 1987 in Salina, KS to Craig and Elizabeth Flaharty. He was their double rainbow firstborn. Josh was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, uncle and nephew. He was a loving, caring, kind and generous soul.

When he made friends, they were friends for life which ended way too soon. Josh unexpectedly passed away the evening of September 23rd. He was 34. He loved his construction and pizza delivery jobs, his apartment and view of the countryside, Philly cheesesteaks, and anchovy pizza!

He graduated from the South Routt Alternative High School in 2006. He wanted the world to be kind and engaging. He was a unique individual with lots to offer those who took the time to get to know him. Helping friends and even strangers was a task he genuinely enjoyed.

He owned his own business, Audio Pollution, from 2005-2012. He was an artist and loved designing and building car stereo systems. Josh enjoyed working out to stay healthy and was proud of his accomplishments and overcoming some difficult obstacles. He relished each moment he could spend with family and friends.

He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his grieving parents and family as follows: Craig and Elizabeth Flaharty of Nevada, his sister Mataya, husband James, and nephew Weston Harrold of Nevada, his sister Amelia, husband Kolton Miller of Colorado, his aunts Cheryl & Annie Holl/Watts of Kansas, uncles Lawrence & Derek Holl/Van Keuren of Florida, aunt Linda Holl of Kansas, uncle Nick Casias of Denver, uncle Terry, wife Tamara of Kansas, cousins, several special friends and "extra" parents. He was preceded to the afterlife by his grandparents Raymond & Joyce Holl, uncle Leon Holl, grandma Patsy Casias, grandpa Larry Flaharty, and his four siblings.

A viewing/celebration of life will be Monday, September 27th at Grant Mortuary in Craig, CO from 5-7 p.m. with cremation following. In lieu of flowers, family requests you share a meal with someone you care about or reconnect with an old friend
