It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Lorrie Butler, who left us on 11/15/2025. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, cherished deeply by her family and friends. She was 72 at the time of her passing.
Born on September 26,1953 in Cedar City UT. Lorrie lived a life filled with love and adventure. She spent 52 wonderful years married to her soulmate, Brad Butler, who was not only her partner but also her best friend who supported all her passions.
Lorrie was the proud mother of two daughters, Lisa (Chad) Lawton and Jamie (Dan Brunson) Butler, who will always carry her spirit in their hearts. She was a loving and devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren: Morgan (Neil) Montgomery, Bailey Lawton, Billy Lawton, and Tristen (Taileigh) Walls. Her greatest joy came from spending time with them and watching them grow, as they were the shining lights of her life. She was also a doting great-grandmother to her great-grandson, Hudsyn Walls, who brought her immense happiness.
A true nature lover, Lorrie found joy in fishing, camping, atving and hunting. Her adventurous spirit took her and her family on many trips, with a special love for traveling south during the winter months. Whether she was casting a line by a serene lake or crocheting on a cozy evening at home, she radiated warmth and love.
Lorrie was known for her caring heart and fun-loving personality. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special and loved, and her giving heart was infectious. Her home was always open, filled with love and warmth to anyone.
Though she has left this world, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved. As we remember her, we celebrate the beautiful memories, laughter, and love she has gifted us.
A Celebration of Life luncheon service will be held on Saturday 11/22/2025 at Quality Inn Reception Rooms, 300 S Hwy 13, Craig, CO at 11:30 a.m. to honor her life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Yampa Valley Cancer Society, reflecting her generous spirit.
Rest in peace, Lorrie. You will be missed but never forgotten. Your love will continue to guide us. We love you!
