

Orson Harold Rollins, age 80, passed away on August 30th, 2025, at his home in Craig Colorado. When the last round-up came he met it like a true cowboy; head high, heart steady, he went out with his boots on.
Orson, known as Harold, was the eldest son of 8 children born on March 24th, 1945, in Roosevelt Utah to Orson Hyde Rollins and Ina Taylor Rollins. Harold graduated from Moffat County high school in 1963. After graduation, he attended a year of college at Mesa State in Grand Junction Colorado before being drafted into the military. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War while stationed in Korea. Following his service Harold returned to the states and spent several years working in the ranching and livestock industry. During this time, he met the love of his life Sally Seilaff Rollins, and they married on August 19th, 1983. After having their first child they returned to Craig where he took over running the family-owned business Rollins Gas and Car Wash. Harold also spent many years as a truck driver delivering fuel around Moffat County. Harold loved spending time with his family, ranching, reading, and sharing the history of his hometown. He was known for his stories, knowledge of the community, and strong love of politics. Harold was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and loyal friend.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Sally Seilaff Rollins; his children Sterling Rollins (Melinda), and Jeanette Steger (Ben); his 3 grandchildren Brice White, Logan Steger, and Ellie Steger; and his great grandchild Rileigh White. He is also survived by his aunt Carol Liddell; sister LaRae Broomhead; brother Lloyd Rollins; sister June Smith (Steve); brother Bryant Rollins; sister-in-law Merilyn Rollins; Brothers-in-laws and Sisters-in-law Robb and Melody (Moon) Sielaff, Bruce and Barbara Seilaff, George Roubidoux and many nieces, nephews, and also great nieces, and nephews. Harold is preceded in death by his parents Orson and Ina Rollins, brothers Trent, Paul, and Nyle Rollins, grandson Stetson Shepard, brother-in-law Ron Broomhead, sister-in-law Susie Roubidoux and several aunts and uncles. A graveside dedication with family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, at 11am at the Reader Cemetery in Savery, Wyoming.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been opened at the Yampa Valley Bank in Craig to accept memorial donations “In care of Orson Harold Rollins” to help his wife Sally with the unexpected cost of this unimaginable loss.
