thomas and i were short term lovers. our relationship started on a Facebook group for people who trade nsfw puzzles. when i went to pick up the puzzles he was trading, he invited me in for a drink, it was then that we had sex for 13 hours, it hurt. for a few weeks we were friends with benefits, then things escalated, we robbed a bank together, then some bitch named mikaila ate some watermelon, thats not related to the story, anyways, the point is that i didnt know thomas, he was just some dude i had a conversation about cheese with at peavey mart. my ass is large

I became friends with Thomas during a strange moment in 3rd grade. We had just finished an art project and there were scraps of paper littering the floor. During the cleanup I was crawling along on the floor on my stomach and collecting the scraps when Thomas leaned over from his desk and looked at me slithering on the ground. He said I looked like a snake and from then on my nickname to him was Snakie. We decided he needed an "ie" nickname too and he became Duckie shortly after. Like I am sure it was with most everyone who met him, I immediately felt close to Thomas. He had such an easy-going way about him and I think that most people he came in contact with can share a similar story, where they felt as if they had been friends for years even though they had just met him. I will always remember our adventures all over Craig and hold them close, even the time he told a girl that I liked her against my will and she shot me down thoroughly. Thomas always being the good guy told me I was too good for her anyways. Rest in Peace Duckie, I know wherever you are, they have a Super Nintendo and a copy of Donkey Kong Country 2. 

I was an assistant boys basketball coach when Thomas was a senior. There is one game in particular that I will always remember. I don’t remember all the specifics, but remember the situations we were in. We were playing Steamboat in our own gym and the stands were packed. It was a great game with the score going back and forth throughout. Towards the end of the game, a foul occurred in which we had the option to choose who was going to shoot for us. These were not normal free throws. These were game winning free throws, versus our rival Steamboat Springs, in our own gym that was packed with excitement. You can tell a lot about a person in situations like this. In our huddle, Thomas spoke up and wanted to shoot. He wanted the opportunity to earn his team a win in one of his biggest sports moments he’s ever had. Thomas got to the line, the stands were quiet in anticipation and….he missed. The game went into overtime and you could see Thomas was deflated. During overtime, the same type of game continued. Back and forth with lead changes and a progression of urgency to win. With about 2 seconds left on the clock, Thomas had the ball and another chance at a game winning shot. He was well beyond the 3 point line, but if you watched Thomas play, you knew that was his comfort zone. He let the ball leave his hands with all the confidence in the world….SWISH! Game winner. The whole gym went wild and Thomas redeemed himself. He loved basketball so much and I would argue if Thomas had one shot in which he remembers the most, it’s that one. That’s the shot kids dream about and imagine making when they shoot in their driveways when they’re kids. Thomas lived it. 

I loved coaching him and seeing him at the golf course. Thomas was the type of person that always put you in a better mood. He was respectful and had a great sense of humor, but the thing I remember most about him was his kindness. He was a great person and will be missed.

There’s not a lot of people in life you can call a friend, a brother, and a hero. That’s who Thomas is to me. Growing up I was a kid that would follow him and his friends around.  Childhood memories I have with Tom are him pulling me out of the street before a car jumping the Alta Vista hill would of flattened me, Thomas carrying me on his shoulders to dunk on the neighbors 8 foot hoop and us falling to our backs because I didn’t let go of the rim and him trying to break my fall, he was always helping and looking out for me. Me watching Thomas play basketball was probably comparable to Thomas watching JJ Redick play. If asked who my favorite basketball player is, I still say Steve Nash and Thomas Noble. It gives me a chance to talk about one of the best guys I’ve ever known and it never fails to give me chills as I explain Toms game. I got to work for him on the Road and Bridge crew and I find myself thinking that was the best job ever because of him. He was the only man that could convince me laying tar lines was a form of artwork and road work in the summer heat was the funnest job you could have. Thomas made a long day of work fly by. Conversations ranging from basketball, Pink Floyd, Batman/Joker theories and more. He brought happiness and laughter every second you were with him. After a day of work Thomas would find a way to get a pickup game set up and would still amaze with his shooting skills. Not a lot of people talk about his ability to finish in the paint, but Tom was so crafty on his down low finishes too. He would always give you a little smile and giggle after embarrassing you on a play, and would trash talk you so good all you could do was laugh at the jokes he made about you. I cherish every moment spent with him. I’m a very lucky person to call Thomas my friend and fortunate to have learned so much from him. I know you’re smiling down on us and probably saying chill out, I love you TomTom and I’ll miss you every day till I see you again bud.

What a nice, polite young man Thomas was.  Always smiling and happy.  I remember how great a 3 point shot he had in basketball in high school when my son Brian was on the team.  Those were some great years.  Sometimes when I walk to work I cut through Sunset Elementary and not too long ago I was walking home after work and saw someone shooting hoops.  Even after all these years from 200 yards away I recognized the form and knew it was Thomas.  We chatted for a while and he said he was just getting some playing time in after work at the city. My heart is broken for this loss at such a young age.  Prayers and much love to his family and friends.  May God comfort your hearts in the days ahead. 

Another time at his house, we were given permission from Kim that we could ride our bikes down the road to the big tree we would always play at and build forts. Kim said this time though that we needed to be home before 4 pm or she would call the cops. Thomas and I agreed as we both knew neither one of us had a way to keep time but wanted to go. We took off for another day of adventure. As the day went on and we built some awesome forts we decided to saddle up and ride our bikes around. As we rode around the corner of the street we saw a patrol car pulling up to our location. I heard Thomas yell, “it’s the cops!!!” Worried we were late and Kim called the cops we booked it back to the tree house, throwing our bikes down and tossing our helmets to the ground. I made it to the tree house first and dove in. Thomas coming up behind me leaped as hard as he could with as much speed as he had, clearing the tree and smashing through the backside of the treehouse and into the ditch behind the tree….

Long story short, we were not late and the officer wanted to give us coupons for free ice cream at McDonald’s for wearing our helmets while riding bicycles… Never a dull moment with Thomas around!

Growing up with Thomas in our younger years we shared great memories that I have and will always cherish! Definitely gone to soon my friend! So many times I wished I had a way of contacting you to catch up over the years. Now it is too late.

Wanted to share a memory of a time when Thomas was staying at my house. My older sister kept barging into my room to disrupt us from building forts. So we decided after time and time again rebuilding that we would set up some “booby traps” in an attempt to stop her.  Our booby traps simply being shoe strings tied together across the room. On our last attempt, from atop my bunk bed, I told Thomas that if she made it through all the “booby traps” we would jump on her from the top bunk. I however was only kidding when I said it, assuming Thomas knew that….

Once my sister made her entrance into my room and stormed through everything as if there was nothing in her way. I heard Thomas yell at the top of his lungs “Bombs away!!” As I looked over to watch Thomas leap from the top bunk only to smash his head into my bedroom light and ceiling, shattering glass and falling straight to the floor as if time was turned to slow motion. Thomas, laughing the entire time, we all could not help but to laugh with him.

R.I.P. my friend, we will meet again!

I remember Thomas as a cute little boy. He was my son Steven’s best friend. He was so fun to watch and made us laugh. We lost touch with him after we moved but always had fond memories of laughter. We know we will see him again. May peace be with you. 

Thomas was my first crush and first boyfriend when I moved to Craig, Co. Even though it didn’t last long (who knew what a relationship was then) we would become life long friends. Thomas was such an amazing person that you couldn’t help but love him. I am so thankful to have gotten to watch him grow into the man he had become. He has had such an impact on my life and I will forever hold him dear to my heart. I miss you already! I love you bud! Go Duke! 

Thomas was the guy I looked up to growing up!  3 point shootouts were my favorite and he always beat me! You should still be here and I'm sad to write this. Until next time!


I will never for get this young man what a great person and always was joking or laughing  with you. A Duke fan at heart and him and my daughter hot after each other because she is a tar Hill fan and the boys loved to get after him on it when it was basketball match up time. My grandkids would say hey thomas go tar hills or boo Duke and he would laugh and say well taught kenzie. Thomas you will be missed thanks for being a great person and getting to know you all these years. R.i.P.y friend.
