She was born January 19, 1962 in Peoria to Clarence and Alice F. (Morris) Vaughn, she married James Leroy Beard on June 17, 1982. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother, Alice; two sons, Jeremy and James Beard Jr., both of East Peoria; five siblings, Eddie Vaughn, Jody Vaughn and Tim Vaughn, all of Washington, Scott (Kimm) Vaughn of Pekin and Keith (Erin) Vaughn of Knoxville and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Janet was a homemaker, raising her two boys who she loved very much.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Pastor Brian Currier will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
