Lillian Darlene Beach

Born June 11, 1942 in Missouri to Alva and Jetta (Stanley) Dodson, she married Laundy Edward Beach, Jr. on December 7, 1957 in East Peoria. He died January 20, 2014 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Laundy Alfred “Lonnie” Beach and Robert Beach.

Surviving are one daughter, Patricia Sue “Trish” Beach of East Peoria; six grandchildren, Stacey Test, Robert “Rob” Beach, Brandon (Ashley) Vaughan, Emily Vaughan, Amber Lockhart, all of East Peoria and Sarah (Kyle) Patterson of Eureka and seven great-grandchildren.

Darlene was a homemaker and supported her husband as a self-employed drywall finisher.

She loved reading, knitting and gardening. Her happy place was in her yard.

Darlene was a former member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God in East Peoria.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Hilltop Grill in Creve Coeur. Inurnment will be in American Mausoleum in Peoria. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
