When my grandmother (Claudine, Mildred's sister) passed away. Mildred and Paul become surrogate grandparents to us Hill grandchildren. It was always exciting when they would come to visit from Illinois. One of the things I love the most about Aunt Mildred (and Paul) was that they helped instill so much understanding, knowledge and love of our family history. One of the things you always could count on when they would come to visit Bourbon was they would visit, honor and take care of the family's cemeteries. It was always a joy to get a or to visit with Aunt Mildred. My heart is heavy with her passing. She was a woman of grace, humor, kindness and love of family. We will miss her immensely.

Sharon and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of your mother passing away. She was always so welcoming to me when we hung out together and whenever I made it back to East Peoria and the church, she always said hello to me. I will always remember her smiling face and how wonderful she was to me.

My grams!! So many wonderful memories with her.. From her "runny fudge", our walks on the trail picking blackberries, watching her soaps in the afternoons, gardening, snapping green beans, canning.. I could go on and on.. Love you grandma, I will miss you!!!
