

She was born December 9, 1932 in Grafton, the daughter of Micheal and Winfred Duty Ondo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Brooks, infant son, David, sister Juanita Motus, and brother Willard Duty.
Betty retired from retail sales having worked at several places including Williams Kiddie Shop, South Charleston. Betty attended First United Methodist Church of South Charleston. She faithfully worked all elections.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Brooks (Lisa), of Teays Valley, daughter Kim Lyon (Jack), of St Albans, grandchildren, Britney Higginbotham (Daniel), of Teays Valley, Payton Brooks (Madisen), of Chattanooga, TN, Aaron Lyon (Sara), of St Albans, Baker Lyon (Molly), of St Albans, great grandchildren, Kyleigh and Ryder Higginbotham, Stone, Meadow, and Bo Brooks, Rhys Lyon, and CaLee Jordan, brother, Michael Ondo (Connie), of Dunbar, sister, Loretta Cook, of South Charleston, and a host of other family and friends.
Celebration of Betty’s life will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Harpold officiating. Entombment will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
