Born in Charlottesville on January 3rd, 1952, she grew up in the World War 1 boomtown of Nitro, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Eugene and Phyllis Davis, her brother, Tom Davis and sister-in-law Beth Davis and former husband, Jerry Ison.
She is survived by her sons, Jason Ison (Holly Kelch) and Jeremy Ison (Kate Hubbard) and their children Oliver and Chloe Ison, her brother Paul Davis, his wife Felly Davis and nephew and niece, Jarod and Sonja Davis.
She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Prarie View A&M University while concurrently raising her two young sons. After that, she worked inside sales at a telecommunications company.
She was a wonderful, kind person that was there for others. She was a listener and developed enriching friendships with many.
She cared about her family, including those that left us many generations ago. This manifested with her dedication as the family genealogist.
She loved her fountain coke, which her sons remember fondly and humorously of the many trips to the local convenience store to help start the morning.
She was overjoyed with the addition of her grandchildren. She was their Grammacita.
She is missed.
