
Bishop Daniel George Coleman, 81, of Tornado, went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2014 at Thomas Memorial Hospital. He was born September 7, 1933 in Charleston and was a son of Noble and Emily Amelia Tucker Coleman, both of whom preceded him in death. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by five brothers and 4 sisters. Bishop Coleman was an ordained minister for over 48 years with the United Pentecostal Church, Inc. and a honorary board member of the WV District UPCI. He was also confirmed a member of the Esteemed Elders Society and the Order of Melchizedek. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Local 1207, Charleston, The Bishop of Tornado Apostolic Church and a Marine Corps veteran. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Carolyn Sue Coleman; sons, Edward R. (Linda) Coleman of Charleston, Daniel L. (June) Coleman and Richard C. (Vanessa) Coleman of Tornado; daughters, Janice L. (Wilson) Hudson and Teresa J. Harrah , all of Tornado; sister, Patricia Trimble of Tornado; grandchildren, Bethany Coleman, Anthony and Chrissy Coleman, Sadaria Coleman, Jimmy and Michon Woods, Crystal and Jarrod Price, Danielle and Derek Sammons, Ricky and Danielle Coleman, Jason and Sarah Harrah, Stephanie and Ronnie Erwin and Jennifer Harrah; great-grandchildren, Autumn Coleman, Alexis Coleman, Ethan Sammons, Madison Sammons, Brody Sammons, Raelynn Coleman, Peyton Coleman, Blake Harrah, Brock Harrah, Brantley Erwin and Owen Harrah. A celebration of Bishop Coleman’s life will be 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2014 at Tornado Apostolic Church, 1100 Gore Addition Road, Tornado with Rev. Edwin Harper and Rev. David Hudson officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends from noon until time of service at the church Monday. Burial will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 30, 2014.
