
Gloria Mae Jackson, 73, of St. Albans, went to be with the Lord Friday, November 20, 2015. She was born March 17, 1942 in St. Albans, the daughter of Charles and Burchell M. Adkins Young. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel R. Jackson. She was the owner and operator of Generator and Starter Repair. Gloria was the most loving, caring, generous, giving person you could ever have known. She enjoyed family get togethers, playing volleyball, cooking and working in her garden and flowers. Gloria taught Sunday School at Nitro Church of Christ for over 35 years. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by daughters, Deborah Clark and her husband Michael, Cynthia Meadows and her husband William, all of St. Albans, grandchildren, Daniel Clark, Joshua Warner, Lindsay Clark, Austin Meadows, and David Clark, great grandchildren, Aysha Clark, Alison Clark, Logan Strickland, Landon Strickland, Levi Strickland, and Addison Leiser, brothers, Charles (Janice) Young, Robert (Janet) Young, and David (Sue) Young, sisters, Barbara Eggleton, Helen Cogan and her companion Larry Lane, Carol Norris, Jerry (Rex) Eggleton, Loretta Hunter, Linda (Stan) Miller, and Mary (Jess) Williams. Celebration of Gloria’s life will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Nitro Church of Christ with Pastor Chad Lovejoy officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar. Gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 6 to 8 at the church
