Kenneth Alan Hayes, 61, of Cross Lanes, WV, passed away Dec. 23, 2015 at his home following a long illness. He was born in Charleston, WV on May 21, 1954, a son to Dolores Blackshire Cobb. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. In addition to working for the US Postal Service, he was the union representative for Mail Handlers, Local 305. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Regina Whittington Hayes; his daughter, Lindsey (Steve) Stewart of Sissonville; three granddaughters, Breeann, Stephany, and McKenna; two step-children, Jamie Kiser of Sissonville and Kimberly Kiser of Cross Lanes; step-grandson, Preston; one brother, Gregory Lee (Janie) Hayes of Santee, SC; one sister, Donna Jean McCormick of Dunbar; and a loving, extended family including special uncle and aunt, Buddy and Sue Blackshire. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael L. Hayes and his step-father, Robert E. Cobb. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV with Pastor Jeff Meadows officiating.
