

Laura Shirley Foose was born July 17, 1936 in Ainsworth, Nebraska to Allen E. and Laura Biltoft. She passed away February 12, 2017. While working as a telephone operator in Omaha, she met and married William Foose, who was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base. He preceded her in death in 1994. In addition to her parents and her husband, Laura was also preceded in death by her youngest son, Raymond Eugene, who died in 1993 and her grandson, Nathaniel who died in 1990. She leaves behind a daughter, Carolyn of St. Albans; son, David of Midwest City, OK; granddaughter, Karissa (Denver) Ervin of Tucson, AZ; great-grandson, Clay Ervin of Tucson; sisters, Donna Jean Dillion of West Souix City, Nebraska, Lorraine Biltoft of Ainsworth, Nebraska and Lois (Rod) Rahn of Battlefield, Missouri; sister-in-law, Glenna Hughes of Charleston; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews throughout the Midwest. In addition to being a military wife of 25 years and living in several states and England, she enjoyed reading, sewing and embroidery. She made her granddaughter a beautiful quilt and was working on one for her great-grandson. Laura enjoyed being with her family and friends and we will greatly miss her. A celebration of Laura’s life will be 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, 110 B Street, St. Albans with H. R. Whittington as celebrant. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
