Roy Wandas McNeely went to be with God on February 21, 2026. He was the son of Cecil and Ethel May Marshall McNeely. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Reta Carol McNeely, son Roy W. McNeely, Jr., sisters, Wanda Graham, Eloise Deno, and Lorraine Bentley, brothers Herbert Edwards, Elmer McNeely, and Edsel Ray Edwards.
Roy was in the U.S. Army from August 1960 - January 1966. He was a Kanawha County School Teacher, US Army Veteran, and a member of First Baptist Church of Tyler Mountain.
He is survived by his daughter Lori Jane McNeely, close family friend James Jones, sisters Dixie Davis, Faye Gibbons, and Joy Walker.
Celebration of Roy's life will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Garden, Matheny with Military rites conducted.
Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
