

Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Karen Sue Burns Naylor, by his Mother and Stepfather Priscilla and Carl Flinner, Sister Mary Thompson, Sister-In-Law Debbie Flinner, and dear friend Charlie Swagger.
Roy is Survived by loving Daughter Lori Ann Mullens along with his much admired bonus son in law Jamie Braley. His best buddy Grandson Dylan Mullens (Hannah), his dear Brothers David Flinner & Jim Flinner. Bonus Grandchildren; Morgan and Phillip, Emma and Daniel. His dear Sister-In-Law Lori Neal, and Brother-in-Law David Burns, many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews and host of thousands of friends, neighbors, coworkers, and acquaintances he treasured each and every one.
Roy graduated Charleston High School Class of 1963 and served in the military with Army National Guard. Roy retired after 38 years from E.I. Dupont Belle plant. Roy was active in events supporting Veterans and a loyal member of American Legion Post 20, the Elks Lodge 202, FOPA #4, Charleston Moose Lodge 1444 and Shoney’s Old Time Racers. Roy joyfully volunteered countless hours in community services. Roy was an avid classic car enthusiast known to often trophy in local car shows showing his and Dylan's prize 1969 Camero. Roy enjoyed catching fish and hunting in WV and Florida. Roy participated in bowling leagues and enjoyed Golf. In his youth Roy played in baseball, softball and volleyball leagues. He was often found at basketball courts playing in pick up games. Roy was a lifetime WVU sports fan. Roy deeply loved and cared for his family. And he took great joy in making many friends who will miss and remember him fondly for his kindness, generosity, joy of life, cheerful smile and distinct laugh, and his handsome charming good nature.
The Naylor family wishes to recognize the personnel of Kanawha County Sheriff's Department in WV, the Sebastian FL PD, Oyster Point Resort, also Mr. Chris McDaniel at Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian FL. Also dear friends in FL Joyce & Bob Figarola and Kelli Kemple Morgan for all for their compassionate care in the passing of our loved one.
Celebration of Roy’s life will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Minister Joe Martin officiating. Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Roy's name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Elks Lodge #202 (The Send The Kids To Camp Fund) & Frank Veltri Annual Thanksgiving Dinner.
