It is with sadness yet great rejoicing that Ms. Lisa R. Phillips announces the passing of her beloved Mother Sheila Ryan Whittington, age 71 years, on April 19th, 2015 after a short illness. Sheila was a devout Christian and is celebrating her new life with the Lord in Glory. She was born the daughter of Gladys Watt of St. Albans and the late Camillus Farmer. She was preceded in death by husband David Whittington and sister Catherine Jo Hall and is survived by daughters Lisa Renee’ Phillips and Mary Jo D’Arco and son Dr. Sam D’Arco (Dr. Ruth Ann D’Arco); five grandchildren, Joshua Powell, Christopher D’Arco, Sarah D’Arco, Hannah D’Arco and Samuel D’Arco, also surviving are two Great-Grandchildren, Korbyn Powell and Rylan Powell. Sheila will be sadly missed by her sisters Beverly A. Estep, twin sister Sheena Rae Houck and Sue C. Fisher. Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 at 2:30pm at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home 5233 Rocky Fork Rd., Cross Lanes, WV 25313. The family will receive friends from 1:30pm until service time. Entombment will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
