Sheree Jeanne Compton, 58 of Cross Lanes passed away October 4th, 2015 after a long hard fought battle with cancer. She was born in Williamson, WV the daughter of the late Pearl and Irene Meade Compton, she was also preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Compton. Sheree was retired as The Director of Administration at the West Virginia Division of Cultural and History. She is survived by her son Travis A. Compton; brother Ronald W. Compton; 5 nephews; Ronald Vinson Compton; Brandon Compton; Dakota Compton Bruce Compton and Eric Compton. She is also surviving are 2 nieces Rhonda A. Brake and Katrina Smith and 5 grandnieces and nephews. Services will be Thursday, October 8th, 2015, at 2:00pm at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home 5233 Rocky Fork Rd. Cross Lanes, WV 25313, The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until service time. Interment will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
