He is survived by his wife, April Lane, his twin brother Robert "Bob" (Sheila) Lane, niece Christine Lane and nephew Scott (Sara) Lane. He is also survived by his daughters, Marci Lane (Mike Iskoe) of Pittsburgh, PA and Annie Lane (Ryan Bratton) of Portsmouth, OH.
Bill never knew a stranger nor enemy. He was a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and well into his 60's attended a Steelers Fantasy Football camp as he valued distance running and weight lifting which kept him in notable physical health. Bill was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. Bill was a loving and dedicated husband who took care of his wife and two daughters without fail. He was a lover of animals and of comedy; he was always laughing, joking, or trying to make others laugh.
A celebration of Bill Lane's life will be held at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery for close family and friends.
