Pete had a long career as an English Professor and sports historian, inspired by his father’s work as a columnist for the New York World Telegram. He wrote three books and was an active member of the Popular Culture Association of America. He loved travel, music, good food, and great beer.
He is survived by his beloved daughter and her husband, two cherished grandchildren, his ex-wife Ann B. Williams, and his loving partner Lynn Gorman.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1836 East Main Street, Mohegan Lake, NY 10547.
