Julia Asaro, a resident of Ossining, NY, passed away on January 5, 2025. She was 101 years old. Julia was born on September 13,1923 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Vincenzo and Carolina (De Pasquale) Ceribelli. Before her retirement, she worked for many years as a technical illustrator for the Gibson Hall Company in New York City. She was one of the first female students to be accepted into the prestigious Cooper Union School of Science and Arts. As a talented watercolor artist, she would frequently exhibit in shows with the Watercolor Society of NY.
She is survived by her son Vincent Asaro.
She was predeceased by her son Thomas Asaro.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, January 8th from 4-8pm at Edward F Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, January 9th at 10 am at Holy Name of Mary Church, 114 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520. Interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery, Old Post Road South, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to Bethel Nursing Home.
