Leonor Maria Teresa Espinosa

Leonor was born to Jose and Carmen Castro on June 5, 1933 in Montevideo, Uruguay. She was married to Juan R. Espinosa on March 30, 1957; they were married for 54 years before Juan’s passing in June 2011. Leonor was a devoted parishioner of The Assumption Church in Peekskill for 30 years and an active member of the Peekskill Seniors Club. Leonor was a dedicated homemaker, whose greatest love in life was time with her family. Her charismatic personality left those blessed to know her with many fond memories.

Leonor is survived by her beloved daughters Beatriz Simon and Marion Hernandez, adored grandchildren Jennifer Martino (Micah), Rebecca Bertoline (Benjamin), Daniel J. Simon, and Christopher Hernandez, two cherished great grandchildren Liliana Grace Bertoline and Dylan James Martino and caring sisters Elida Bazzano, Raquel Barreto, Susana Jarrovich, Mirtha Gentile, Isabel Duarteu, Marta Castro, and Graciela Castro.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 from 4-7PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 11AM also at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Committal is Private.
