

Lucy was born on August 28, 1928 in Minturno, Italy. She came to this country when she was 8 years old and grew up in Yonkers, New York. In her late teens and early twenties, she worked as a telephone operator at New York Telephone. Lucy was married to Eugene Negri on November 4, 1956. Later, she moved to Croton-on-Hudson with Eugene. Lucy was a Croton resident for about 42 years, where they raised their family. In her life, she touched many lives through her work at her childrens’ schools and Elliots Department store. She was an active member of the Holy Name of Mary church community where she taught religious education. She was actively involved in Little League, Girl Scouts, the Croton Pointers Club and the Croton Children‘s Theater. Lucy loved sewing, quilting, gardening, crafting, knitting, crocheting, cooking, traveling with her husband and spending time with her family. In addition to raising five children of her own, she was a mother to many. Lucy had a gift of bringing people together. She believed that there was always enough for everyone and she opened her heart and home to all.
Lucy is survived by her husband Eugene Negri of Cortlandt Manor; her son Alfred Negri of Houlton, Maine; daughter, Catherine Anesi of Peekskill; Son and daughter-in-law, Eugene Jr. and Kathleen Negri of Wappingers Falls; daughter and son-in-law Lori and Jack Hoye of Cortlandt Manor; daughter and son-in-law Marie and Paul Rigaud of Mohegan Lake. She will be missed by her three loving grandchildren, John Anesi (18), Jack Hoye (12) and Christopher Negri (11). Lucy remains in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
