Mafalda Z. Fasciani

Mafalda was born on June 12, 1931 at her home in Ossining to the late Gioacchino and Donatella (DiBacco) Zedda. She was a graduate of Ossining High School in 1949. She worked as a Bank Professional for many years at the Bank for Savings in Ossining and at the Bursar’s Office at PACE University in Pleasantville. Mafalda was very active at the Ossining Historical Society where she volunteered for many years. She was also a devoted Catholic and parishioner of Holy Name of Mary Church and St. Augustine’s Church in Ossining. She cherished Mother Teresa, and had a special devotion to her, she was proud to have met her several times.

Mafalda is survived by her beloved children, Rudolph J. Fasciani, Jr. of Croton, Carol Ann Fasciani of Brookfield, CT and Cynthia Neff and her husband Arthur of Buchanan; devoted grandchildren, Sean and Sarah Cahill and Ashley and Emily Neff; caring sister-in-law, Victoria Zedda and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rudolph J. Fasciani, Sr. in 1988; brothers , Joseph and his wife Susan , Michael and Frank Zedda and sister, Rose Trembone.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-9pm at the HOLY NAME OF MARY CHURCH, 110 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on, Tuesday, February 18th also at Holy Name of Mary Church. Interment will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Sleepy Hollow, NY.
