Margaret "Marge" Davis

Margaret (Marge) Davis of Peekskill, NY passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012. She was born in Croton-on-Hudson on August 6, 1931 to Sarah (Mancuso) and Frank Scozzafava. She retired from Croton Community Nursery School as a teacher and had previously been employed as a pediatric nurse in New York City.

Her love of young children followed her throughout her lifetime. Marge is survived by her beloved husband Martin, and their three adoring sons David, Daniel (Patricia), and Paul (Theresa) and cherished grandmother of Colleen, Casey, Anthony, and Jillian Davis. She is also survived by her loving daughter Madelynn (Frank) Perillo and their three daughters Rachel, Emily, and Lucy.

She is also survived by her sisters Rose (Norman) Villeneuve, Anne (Joe) DeCrenza, brother Frank (Dorothy) Scozzafava as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Angelo (Vera) Scozzafava and nephew Anthony Scozzafava.

Marge was a warm, patient, down-to-earth person with a wry sense of humor. She was direct in her candor. She had a passion for music, especially Jazz and Blues. Her beautiful spirit will live on forever.

Visitation will take place at the Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St. Croton-on-Hudson, NY from 10am – 12 Noon on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. A service will take place at the funeral home at noon, with burial at Bethel Cemetery in Croton immediately following.
