Marion J. Cusano

Marion J. (Raccosta) Cusano left this earthy world on Friday, January 8, 2016. She was born January 3, 1940, the daughter of Lena Theresa (Scozzafava) & Carmine James Raccosta. They predeceased her in 1974.

Marion is survived by her husband Rocco J. Cusano, Sr., children Michael Joseph Cusano, Rocco James Cusano, Jr. & wife Felicia (Tassone), Christopher Scott Cusano & wife Jennifer (Walsh), beloved grandchildren, Logan James, Spencer Hayden, Justin James and Alexandria Grace Cusano, brother Joseph Carmine Raccosta & wife Cynthia (Carlson) and their daughters Jamie Lynn and Kellie Lauren Raccosta, as well as by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and was a faithful, loyal friend to all who knew her.

Marion was a 1957 graduate of CHHS and a 1960 graduate of the Cochran School of Nursing. She pursued her medical career at PMHC and for numerous private Physicians. She was Administrative Assistant in the nursing office of the Dominican Sisters Family Health Services, in Ossining, NY before her retirement in 1993. Marion was a Childcare Giver for many years. She was a member of the Croton Dam-sels a Red Hat Society Organization, where she was known as Maid Marion, Royal Secretary. She was also a member of the Croton Seniors, and was past President. Marion loved music and studied with Dame Douglas Dirks. She won many talent shows and was planning a career in the music industry until she kept a promise to her mother.

Marion will be reposing at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St., Croton on Hudson, NY on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 10AM, Good Shepherd Chapel, 59 Benedict Blvd., Croton on Hudson, NY 10520 with interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery also in Croton.
