Alberta N. Somogyi

Alberta Nadine Somogyi, age 82, of Schererville, IN passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in Dyer, IN. Alberta was born November 2, 1938 in Danville, IL to the late Joseph G. and Margaret E. (High) Weaver. Alberta will be remembered by her family and friends as an avid square dancer. She attended many functions in the area that involved this type of dancing. Her favorite past times included completing word searches, watching ME TV, and listening to the radio. She leaves behind her Sister, Karen (Joe) Smitka; nephew, John (Jackie) Smitka; three nieces, Debra Steigerwald, Cindy (Randy) Hagedorn, Liz (Dan) Schmidt; two nephews, Jeff (Sarah) Soliday, and Michael Soliday. Funeral services are under the direction of Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Rev. Erika D. Brooks will be officiating a private service for the family. Alberta will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in the garden of Eternal Love.
