Dorothy Ann Driscoll age 88, peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, October 27, 2018. She is survived by her children, Mick (Mary) Driscoll of Lafayette, IN, Kathy (Leroy) Thompson of Sumpter, OR, Margo (Larry) Schlesser of Cove, OR, Dan (Tammy) Driscoll of Wheatfield, IN, Tina Denney of Chicago, IL, Dee (Tom) Tolbert of Hope Mills, NC, Eleanor Driscoll of Cove, OR, Tim Driscoll of Evansville, IN and Mary (Steve) Novath of North Judson, IN; 22 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by husband, Timothy D. Driscoll; brother, Charles McCrea; grandmother, Christina Dorrow and great grandson, Conner Polfer. Dorothy was born February 18, 1930 in Chicago, IL to the late Francis and Eleanor McCrea. On November 1, 1952 she married the love of her life, Timothy D. Driscoll and together they raised nine children. She retired with over 25 years of service as a bus driver for the Hammond Public School System. While in Indiana, Dorothy enjoyed camping, golf cart rides with her grandchildren at the campground and cooking for her family. After retiring to Oregon, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune, attending sporting events for her great grandchildren and cruising around in her golf cart keeping up with the neighbors and enjoying an ice cream cone at the local drive in. Dorothy devoted her life to taking care of her family and effortlessly and lovingly cared for her husband Tim in his final years. Dorothy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. The family extends a heartfelt thanks to caregiver Beth Brown for the outstanding care given to Dorothy. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN) with Monsignor Robert L. Sell III officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
