She was born April 20, 1929 to Joseph and Rose Grisiniski.
Dorothy loved her children and she stayed home to raise her young family. She lovingly called her husband Ray and took great pride in his career as a firefighter in Chicago. Once her children were in school Dorothy worked in the admissions office at the Chicago Teacher's College.
Dorothy was a great animal lover and enjoyed playing Bunco. She also cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Carol A. Schutz, Barbara J. Pomeroy, Michael J. (Janice L.) Hector, and Robert J. Hector; her grandchildren, Rebecca R. Klutts, Jeffrey Schutz, David Schutz, Stephen Schutz, Caleb Hector, Joshua Hector, Christopher Hector, Bethany Pomeroy, Andrew Pomeroy, and Jessica Pomeroy; and her great-grandchildren, Jacob Schutz, Carrington Klutts, and Asher Klutts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Ray" Hector; her siblings, Lorraine Baker and Edward Grisinski; and her son-in-law, Wayne Schutz.
There will be a gathering from 3 to 6pm on Sunday, June 9 at Calvary Church, 5906 South Route 31, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
