Dorothy Marie Snarski

She was born November 24, 1945 in Chicago to John and Marie (Tomaszewski) Guzick. On September 7, 1963 she married Thomas Snarski in Chicago.

Dorothy worked at Eagle Foods for many years. She enjoyed any time spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She loved traveling, especially cruises with her husband, Tom. Dorothy was an avid reader, liked bird watching, and shopping. She also enjoyed dancing with her husband. Dorothy became a recent follower of high school football thanks to her grandson, Jake.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Shirley Peschke, Kim Galanopoulos, and Donna (John) Borys; her grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Leach, Jonathan Peschke, Brandon Borys, Zachary Galanopoulos, Jacob Peschke, Juliana Peschke, Ryan Borys, Joshua Peschke, and Joseph Peschke; her siblings, Mitchell Guzick, John (Charlene) Guzick, and Susan (Fred) Howard; her mother-in-law, Leona Snarski; and her best friend, Terri Bavaro.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Tom on August 4, 2014; and her parents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm on Thursday, November 13 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, November 14 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.

Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
