Jeannette C. Starritt

She was born March 19, 1911 in LaFox, IL to Clarence and Esther (Van Nordstrum) Curran. In 1937 she married Charles W. Starritt.

Jeannette was the oldest member of the First United Methodist Church in Crystal Lake. She was a member of P.E.O. and many other organizations throughout her life. Jeannette was a remarkable woman who touched many lives. She was a valued citizen of Crystal Lake, and gladly gave her time and talents to many organizations and causes. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her son John (Jeni) Starritt, her sister Aura, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many, many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles W. Starritt, and her son, Lt. Cdr. Douglas R. Starritt (USN).

At Jeannette’s request there will be no services.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 236 W. Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
