John Conrad Frasch

John Conrad Frasch, 60, of Algonquin passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at home. He was born June 11, 1953 in Chicago to Frederick and Clarissa (Brown) Frasch. On September 9, 1999 he married Linda (nee Tinney) in Arlington Heights.

John was upbeat, positive and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed playing pool, writing poetry and loved playing with his grandchildren. Although he left us too soon to pancreatic cancer, he fought a hard fight, his way, with great dignity and his endless sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife Linda; children Travis (Kristy) VanderLoon, Tracy (Josh) Zarate; grandsons Tyler VanderLoon, Kai Ramirez, Chase Zarate; brother Bruce (Cindy) Frasch; sisters Libby Frasch and Karen Steiner; also survived by many loving family members and cherished friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Rick, Michael and Peter Frasch.

A memorial visitation will be from 1 pm until the 4 pm service at on Saturday, January 11 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave. Crystal Lake. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to JourneyCare Hospice, 405 Lake Zurich Rd. Barrington, IL. 60010 www.journeycare.org.
