He was born July 25, 1950 in Chicago to Casey and Evelyn Marks.
John was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Anheuser Busch after 30 years.
John enjoyed fishing with his sons and his brother-in-law, Bill, and occasional trips to the casino.
He is survived by his sons, Johnny, Kevin (Denise), and Bobby; his granddaughters, Tegan and Keira; his siblings, Casey (Karen), Juanita (Paul), Debra (Mike), Larry (Debbie), Gary (Patti).
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a gathering from 1:30 to 4:30pm on Saturday, August 28 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. There will be a service at 4:30pm.
Interment will be at 1:30pm on Monday, August 30 in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421.
